Based on the nature conditions of Poyang Lake district. the present situation of exploiting the water resources, the state of water contamination, and the conditions about flood and drought in this district are analyzed and, the demand of water and the tendency of water pollution in the district by 2000 and by 2010 forecasted. An overall planning is put forward for exploiting and harnessing comprehensively the water resources in the whole divStrict.
