Abstract: |
The effects of the release of phosphine on the growth of Microcrystis aeruginosa were experimentally studied. Using the method of Algal Growth Potential Test, the effects of phosphine and its oxidation products, such as phosphite and hypophosphite, on the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa, one of the dominant algae during water bloom seasons, were examined. The results showed that phosphine products had great influence on the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa. The release of phosphine from eutrophical waterbody perhaps may play an important role on the breakout of water bloom in lakes. |
